In early 2012, a dozen students in the Multimedia Projects course at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University set out to create an interactive storytelling mobile tablet application on Central New York’s notorious winters.

Despite a lackluster winter that resulted in a mere 50 inches of snow compared to the nearly 120-inch annual average, our students journalists rose to the challenge to produce engaging and compelling stories about the winter experience that resulted in CNY32 degrees.
